Up to thing no.13...

Hi!

Yes, been a while! I have looked at tagging, which is a method of categorising online content (webpages, pictures and posts.) I have played around with various newspaper articles through technorati- basically this deals with clicking on 'tags' to go into an article in more detail. In the same section I played around with various blogs related to political articles. You can choose a 'tag' to view blogs that interest you. As for no.15, I had read through some of the views expressed to do with web 2.0 and the future of libraries. Frankly, I found very little of great interest and alot of it was full of jargon and opinions that were difficult to grasp. Still, I do feel that the greater public, except perhaps for those in the teen to twenty age bracket, would have little or no knowledge of 2.0. Should training for the public be offered? How, in the long run, would this benefit the broader population?

There was one suggestion I did find interesting, and that was the possibility of one library service being able to access another's in order to check whether a particular item is checked out.

I will get back to you with regrds no.13!!
